Jeffrey B. Melcer

Mr. Melcer is an experienced and aggressive trial attorney who has been trying cases on behalf of those seriously injured for more than 25 years.  A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Melcer currently specializes in construction, motor vehicle, medical malpractice, municipal and premises liability cases but also has extensive prior experience in many other types of litigation such as civil rights, property damage, commercial disputes, landlord and tenant proceedings.  Over his long career he has taken over 100 cases to trial and achieved a exceptionally high rate of success in all areas of personal injury litigation.  Mr. Melcer has personally resolved highly complex injury cases where multi-million dollar awards were at stake.  Mr. Melcer’s extensive experience in complex personal injury matters assures he can find the way forward on any case when others cannot.  Mr. Melcer believes in listening to his clients, understanding their needs and their cases and aggressively advocating on behalf of his clients. 

Mr. Melcer specializes in assuming cases that have stalled and making them viable again with novel and innovative legal strategies.  In addition, Mr. Melcer has extensive experience in minimizing claims for reimbursement from state, city and federal agencies so he can always maximize his clients’ recovery amounts.

Alex Kheyman graduated cum laude from Baruch College in New York City where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2006, and his Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law in 2013. Throughout Alex’s time in law school, he worked in several law firms and legal clinics gaining invaluable experience in the areas of personal injury law, construction litigation, family law, criminal law and tax law. Additionally, Alex served as President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and Family Law Society where he ran workshops and lectured students on proper and effective negotiating techniques and encouraged the participation of law students in pro bono legal projects.

As an attorney, Alex has successfully handled both plaintiff’s and defendant’s personal injury matters.  Alex has used his negotiation skills to reach hundreds of thousands of dollars in settlements for his clients and has also reached optimal results for his defense clients. Alex has successfully handled all types of personal injury actions from inception up to trial and he is well-versed in almost every personal-injury matter including but not limited to construction accidents, trip/slip and falls, motor vehicle accidents, and intentional torts.  Prior to attending law school, Alex worked as a sports and news broadcaster and continues to be active in the broadcasting field by hosting periodic sports and legal podcasts.
